Drierite Gas Drying Unit

The Drierite Gas Drying Unit is an all-purpose dryer used to protect vacuum pumps from harmful moisture in deairing specific gravity of asphalt. It is designed to dry air to -100°F dew point at atmospheric pressure or pressures up to 90 psi. Dry air or gas flows through a rubber hose connected to the bottom inlet of the dryer. In addition to the Rice Test, the drier gas drying unit works with vacuum or pressure applications. It also works with other types of specimens. Water capacity is up to 50 grams. The molded polycarbonate column is sealed with a threaded cap. Stainless steel springs hold the SGA-106 Drierite Granules between two felt filters. Hose barbs accept 1/4in (6.4mm) or 3/8in (9.5mm) ID tubing. The recommended flow rate is 0.1scfm (200lph) at 90psi (6.2bar).
