Motorized Disc Mill

Motorized Disc Mills provide effective performance for limited dry or wet grinding to moderate fineness of coal, chemicals, ores, pharmaceuticals, nuts, grains, and other friable materials. The series of Motorized Disc Mills are equipped with a 1/3hp gear motor mounted to a welded steel base. Body is plated cast iron. Capacity varies with type of material, but 40lb (18kg) per hour is typical. The unit meets ASTM C409 requirements for preparation of Hardgrove Grindability specimens. The oil-filled gear box features the replaceable Safety Coupling to prevent overload damage.

The Motorized Disc Mill models are available in 115V or 220V capacity, and are equipped with tooth-type feed augers for dry materials and a set of fine-grinding discs. For wet or oily materials, Wet Grinding Feeder and Disc Set, which includes a worm-type feeder and fine-grinding disks, can be purchased separately. The Coarse Grinding Disc Set, also available separately, allows higher throughput of coarse product. Includes Dry Grinding Feeder & Disc Set and an 8ft (2.4m) grounded cord with in-line switch. An additional Complete Grinding Head Assembly is available separately. Feeders and Grinding Discs quickly interchange and having more than one can prove useful for different sample types and to avoid contamination.
