Concrete Field Testing Kit: Ensuring Quality and Durability in Construction

A Concrete Field Testing Kit serves a multifaceted role in the construction industry, offering a range of benefits that extend beyond the surface. These kits are instrumental in ensuring quality assurance on construction sites. They allow construction professionals to assess the quality of freshly mixed concrete right at the source. This guarantees that the concrete aligns with project specifications and adheres to regulatory standards, forming the foundation of sturdy and dependable structures.

Safety is a top priority in construction, and concrete field testing kits play a role in enhancing it. Through precise measurements and evaluations of concrete properties, these kits act as gatekeepers against potential structural failures. By identifying weaknesses or inconsistencies early in the construction process, they effectively mitigate the risk of accidents and injuries, safeguarding both workers and the integrity of the project.

Their capacity for cost-efficiency lies in their ability to detect issues in concrete quality before they escalate into major problems. Timely identification of flaws during field testing can result in substantial cost savings by eliminating the need for costly repairs or even full-scale replacements down the line.

Beyond cost savings, these kits are indispensable for maintaining smooth project progress. By providing real-time data on the quality and properties of concrete, they enable construction projects to proceed efficiently and stick to their schedules. This real-time insight allows for timely adjustments and informed decision-making, reducing delays.

Additionally, adherence to compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards is a non-negotiable aspect of construction projects. Concrete field testing kits serve as an essential tool in achieving and demonstrating compliance. By providing objective, verifiable data, these kits offer construction professionals a means to prove that their work meets the necessary standards, ensuring project success and client satisfaction.

Components of a Concrete Field Testing Kit Sold by Measur

The concrete field testing kit is designed to ensure compliance with the CSA A23.2-19-4C, CSA A23.2-19-5C, and CSA A23.2-19-6C standards. Measur offers two options that you can choose from depending on your needs.

Option 1: CSA A23.2-19-4C - Air Content of Plastic Concrete and CSA A23.2-19-5C - Slump of Concrete.

Includes everything you need for concrete slump testing and precise air content measurement using the pressure method:

Slump Test Apparatus: Slump tests measure the workability and consistency of freshly mixed concrete. It involves filling a cone-shaped mold with concrete, compacting it, and then measuring the settlement of the concrete after the mold is removed. The slump test apparatus includes a cone, a base plate, scoop and a tamping rod.

Air Meter: This instrument determines the air content in concrete. Excessive air content can weaken concrete, so this measurement is crucial for assessing its quality. The air meter consists of a pressure gauge, a pressure chamber, a vessel for the concrete sample.

Thermometer: Monitors temperature, an important factor in concrete curing.

Mallet: Essential for compacting concrete during testing.

Strike Off Bar: Ensures a smooth and level surface for testing.

5-Gallon Bucket of Concrete Re-hydrating Solution: Used for Equipment Cleaning

Option 2:  CSA A23.2-19-6C - Density and Yield of Plastic Concrete.

This package meets CSA A23.2-19-4C, CSA A23.2-19-5C, and CSA A23.2-19-6C standards. In addition to the items included in Option 1, you'll also receive:

CPW Plus Scale and Case: Available in 35kg or 75kg options, this scale is crucial for precise measurements.

12"x12" Acrylic Strike Off Plate
